I don't know why I ended up here. Ow. It hurts, it hurts a lot. This is in entirety my own fault, I might have well asked this pain to consume my body. Why did I have to be so impulsive! I know that answer, because of love. When will I ever, owww! This is starting to become unbearable..,I want to scream, but they won't get that satisfaction, no, I have to be strong...for him. Darkness is starting to surround me, was the light getting dimmer? No, there's nothing wrong with the lights....is this the end?
~~~
Frost clung to the ground and the windows as _____ walked into the school. Her new school. It was the first day of junior year. She was supposed to be in _(hometown)_ with all her friends. But no, her parents decided to randomly pick up and move away, and now she was trapped here, in the most boring town ever to claim itself a town. A lovely little town with a mall that might as well be shut down seeing how few stores still set up shop there, a movie theater with crappy popcorn, and really nothing else to do. There was a roller rink too, but ____ had no sense of balance. Her breath showed as she walked onto the school property. There were a bunch of other students already on the grounds, just sitting and chatting as if it wasn't 35 degrees outside.
"These guys are seriously out of their minds," she thought as she readjusted the strap of her _(favorite color)_ backpack.
She looked down at the little yellow schedule she had in her hand, "Who signed me up for German?" She wondered to herself as she stuffed it back into her pocket. The bell rang, "I guess I better get going then.
~~~

"Welcome class, I am Mr. Mutti." The teacher stated.
"Kesesesese!!" A boy with bright white hair laughed.
_____ looked over and saw his cocky smile and dark red eyes. She wondered if he dyed his hair and wore contacts, or was an albino.
Mr. Mutti sighed, "Must we go over this every year, Gilbert?" he asked.
"It'll never stop being funny, Mr. Mom!" Gilbert laughed.
"Oh, Mein Gott," Mr. Mutti sighed, "Yes, mutti is also the German word for 'mother' just get your laughs out now."
The class erupted in laughter, ____ giggled a little bit, but over all didn't find it THAT funny. She pulled out a piece of paper and started doodling absent-mindedly. Mr. Mutti sighed, because she was in the front row, ____ heard him mutter something along the lines of hating his life.
"Anyways, students, back there is my TA, Ludwig, treat him with the utmost respect and defer to him with any questions you have with the German language, he is very fluent." Mr. Mutti said.
____ looked behind her to see a serious looking blonde with piercing blue eyes, he nodded slightly at the class. There were excited whispers among the classmates. ____ just shrugged and turned back to her doodles.
Mr. Mutti went on, "We shall start our lessons today, get out your notebooks, we are going to take notes."
The classes groan seemed unanimous.
~~~
____ left class when the bell rang, and started for her next class. She looked behind her shoulder and saw the TA, he walked out of the class, surrounded by girls. He didn't even pay them any mind, just walked by them, adjusting the glasses that sat on his face.
"What makes him so desirable?" ____ wondered aloud to herself as she watched the girls try to get his attention.
A girl with short brown hair and a purple clip adorning her hair looked at ____ in disbelief, "You don't know?!" she asked.
"This is my first year in this town," ____ answered with a shrug.
"Oh, well, for your information, that is Ludwig Beilschmidt! He's the star of the football team! And, like so smart! He's just so perfect~" she gushed.
"He seems pretty unsociable," ____ said.
The girl rolled her eyes at ____ and walked off. ____ decided it best to head to her second period which, according to her schedule, was AP Physics. She found the classroom rather quickly, the campus wasn't too hard to figure out. She sat herself down in a seat in the back. A few minutes later, the other students filed in, she looked over and saw the seat next to her empty, but it was the only seat left.
"Are you kidding me?" she asked herself, "It's going to be like that this year. Lovely."
The final bell rang and the door burst open. With a quick look, ____ saw the blonde haired boy whom she saw before. Ludwig. "I'm sorry, sir, I was...held up."
"Just sit down," the teacher sighed.
It didn't occur to ____ at first that the only seat left was beside her, so she was a little surprised when the blonde sat down right beside her seat.
“I am Mr. Amps,” the teacher began, “I also happen to teach various math classes and coach the tennis team,” he began to pass out a course syllabus.
____ was planning on seeing quite a few of these for the rest of the day, so she put her head down, and only half listened to his words.
“Blaa blaa homework, blaa blaa late work, blaa blaa no retakes, blaa blaa bathroom policies, blaa blaa partners, blaa 50% of your grade,” was what she heard, but she looked up when she heard '50% of your grade', “If you don't get along with your partner, your grade will seriously suffer. Your first assignment is to fill out a questionnaire about your partner, converse with them and find out about them, if you don't have this assignment done by the end of class, you will have an automatic grade deduction, a full letter grade, also have your parents sign that course syllabus and return it.”
The class automatically started buzzing and talking with the person beside them. ____ was about to put her head down again when she heard a deep voice directed at her.
“I am Ludwig, who are you?” the blonde next to her asked.
____ looked up and over at him, “I'm ____,” she looked around and saw the dirty looks she received from various girls, “Oh, you're my partner.”
“Ja, you are,” Ludwig said blankly, he looked down at the questionnaire, “What is your favorite color?” he asked, his accent was very German.
“Oh, umm, (favorite color), the same color as my backpack,” ____ answered.
Ludwig nodded, “Blue,” he said briefly.
“Huh?” ____ asked.
“Mein favorite color,” Ludwig said, “It's blue.”
“Oh,” ____ said, she looked down at her paper, and in her normal scrawl wrote 'blue'.
“Umm, okay, what do you do outside of school?” ____ asked.
“I play American football, I am the president of the German Club, und I work at an auto shop,” Ludwig said, he said it so bluntly, like he was in the military or something, it started to make ____ feel uncomfortable.
“I, uh, just moved here, so I don't really have much to say...” ____ said.
“Surely you have something you like to do,” Ludwig said.
“Well, I enjoy drawing...” ____ said.
“That's something, I cannot draw to save my life,” Ludwig said, adjusting his glasses.
“But from what I hear you can do much else,” ____ mumbled beneath her breath.
“Hmm? What did you say?” Ludwig asked.
“Oh, nothing, I didn't say anything important,” she said, writing the rest of what he had said about himself.
“What's you're favorite food?” Ludwig asked, studying the paper.
“(favorite food)” ____ said with a small shrug.
“Liver wurst is my favorite,” Ludwig said.
“Isn't that like sausage?” she asked.
Ludwig nodded, “Sort of.”
The rest of class went like that, ____ and Ludwig asked each other questions from the questionnaire, and she learned a lot about him. His favorite subject in school was History, he also liked German, but German for German Speakers wasn't available, so he settled with being the German teacher's TA. He had a few brothers, but most of them had moved away, now it was just him and his older brother Gilbert, who had apparently failed German 1 three years in a row because he proclaimed himself too awesome to do the homework or take the tests. ____ remembered the boy with white hair and red-ish eyes, she didn't really see the family resemblance, but shrugged it off. Class ended and ____ walked out of the class with her bag slung over her shoulder. She noticed some girls were looking over at her and whispered while she walked.
“Oh great, my first day and I'm already getting enemies,” she sighed.
The rest of classes that day were pretty much uneventful. She could tell that her classes were going to be boring and uneventful. A sad eyed math teacher who sighed often, a sarcastic history teacher who tried to entertain his students with random history facts, a really bitter English teacher whom ____ was sure she wasn't going to like, a really picky art teacher, and a really TMI Health teacher. She was about to leave health when she noticed her bag missing.
“Where'd my bag go?” she wondered to herself as she looked around the classroom. The class had already been let out, so she couldn't ask the teacher to ask the class about it.
With a sigh, ____ walked out of the classroom and started on a search for her backpack. Her wallet was in there and if she didn't find it, she wouldn't have any food money for that week. She checked the girls bathrooms, her other classes, and all the pathways. She was beginning to give up hope when she passed by the back of the football stadium bleachers and saw a blue shimmer, she would have ignored it completely but it sparked in her memory, the bracelet that her best friend gave her before she left (hometown). ____ remembered putting it in her bag and ran over. Much to her dismay, ____ found her stuff scattered all over the bleachers, up and down, and from one side all the way to the other.
“I guess every school has bullies,” she sighed.
It was going to take her a while to pick it all up. She started walking up and down the bleachers, picking up her stuff and looking under benches, hoping it didn't fall through. She collected her stuff and put it at the bottom of the far right stairwell so she didn't have to carry it all, in fact, there was so much little stuff, she couldn't carry it all. The pile was slowly accumulating when she heard a voice sound.
“What are you doing?” a distinctly German accent asked her.
____ turned around to see Ludwig standing beside her pile of stuff, “Oh, uh, nothing really...”
“It doesn't look like nothing, ____,” Ludwig said, “Why is your stuff all over the bleachers?”
“Uhhh...” ____ answered and looked down. She heard the groan of the bleachers shifting under weight and looked up to see Ludwig walking across the bleachers.
“What are you doing?” she asked, very confused.
“Helping you,” Ludwig said bluntly.
“But, why? Don't you have club meeting or homework or-” she was cut off.
“It doesn't matter, I don't mind helping you,” Ludwig said.
____ smiled a bit, “Thank you,”
“Nichts zu danken,” he replied, “I mean, you're welcome.”
They picked up ____'s stuff for about 15 minutes. They still didn't see her bag anywhere. She sighed and sat on the bleachers and looked down, ____ finally spotted her bag under the bleachers, wedged between two poles, it might have fallen down, or been placed there purposefully. It would take a considerable deal of time and effort to navigate those poles, it would be a bit dangerous too.
Ludwig sat down two, and his gaze followed her's, “I'll get it,” he said.
“You don't have to if you don't want to,” ____ said, standing up.
“But it's my fault it's down there,” he said.
“What?”
“Ja, I saw the way those girls in Physics looked at you, they're jealous, right? Really for no reason, but the girls at this school are irrational. I figure they got jealous and threw your bag down there and scattered your stuff all over,” Ludwig said, as if it were very obvious.
“How did you know?” ____ asked.
“I've been going to this school for 2 years now, now entering my Junior year, I just know these people,” Ludwig said with a shrug.
He walked with her to the side of the bleachers and crawled into the cramped space underneath. He may have been muscular, but he moved like a ninja, very flexible and coordinated, he never seemed the type. ____ watched in awe as Ludwig went over poles and ducked under them and twisted around spaces and made his way to her bag. He was able to snatch it up and snake his way back. Ludwig put the slightly dusty and dirty bag into her hands.
____ was a bit surprised at Ludwig's agility, “T-Thank you, Ludwig,” she said.
“It was nothing,” he said shortly, “Was that all your things?”
She nodded.
“Alright then, I'll see you tomorrow, ____,” he said as he picked up his bag.
“Okay.”
“Auf Wiedersehen, ____,” he said and walked away.
“I'm going to have to look that up later,” she thought as she put her things back into her bag.
